Modular Design
offers Freedom of Choice
The Medacta MectaLIF Anterior Interbody Fusion Device offers an unprecedented MODULAR design that incorporates the benefits of an anterior plate and a radiolucent interbody spacer.
In order to accommodate specific anatomical requirements and specific pathologies to treat, the surgeon has the ability to assemble any of the available plates intraoperatively giving the complete freedom of choice!
Versatile platform provides intraoperative freedom of choice:
Multiple configurations to cover diverse patient anatomy and surgical needs.
No anterior profile construct for minimal impact and reduced irritation.
Superior cranial stability with a caudal flush profile provide a solution for L5-S1 implantation.
Superior stability in extension and torsion with a 4 hole design.
Superior stability in extension and torsion. 3 holes design provides flexibility with respect to the illiac artery bifurcation.
Offset profile to minimize the manipulation of the vessels at insertion.
Simple! Dedicated to Anterior non stand alone approaches.
Modular design allows intraoperative assembly to create an indication-specific interbody fusion device.
Cage and Plate are individually sterile-wrapped.
Easy “snap in” concept allows surgeon to assemble (and disassemble) the construct in 1-click to create multiple constructs.
Each implant is designed to securely lock in unique Titanium faceplates that add the security of Titanium and screw fixation.
Designed for easy screw insertion with a guided or free hand technique.
Dedicated instruments and implants variety provide proper hole preparation and screw insertion :
Medial screw design allows for a unique accessible screw insertion avoiding soft tissue
ANGULAR STABILITY
The exclusive divergent screw angulation provides enhanced stability and increased pull-out strength.
The combination with converging screw angles provides additional stability and screw backout resistance.
The horizontal screw angulation minimizes the bending moments and prevents the screw derotation and possible screw back out.
Coronal Divergent/Convergent screw angles create a fixed secure bone volume of 3D fixation.
Horizontal angled screws transfer the load completely on the plates to the cortical bone avoiding stress to the cancellous bone and strip into the bone.
MectaLIF Anterior cages are offered with numerous implant heights and footprints ensuring an optimal anterior / posterior support and providing patients with the best anatomical fit.
Sterile implants: provide full implants traceability while eliminating the risk of reprocessing!
The screws securely lock into the plate due to a reached torque minimum which eliminates the need for a separate screw anti-migration locking system.
Plates are threaded to match and guide the screw insertion and to avoid any cross threading.
Large central bone graft area may help accelerate the occurrence of fusion through the implant.
MectaLIF Anterior bone graft volume is even higher than one of the best performing competitor’s larger footprints.

Medacta biologics are made of fully synthetic bone that correspond to the calcium phosphate component of natural bone in chemical composition and crystalline structure.
Medacta offers bioactive, biocompatible biologics representing a suitable bone growth substitute, and can be easily applied directly into the cage.
